Marco Porello is a young winemaker who is now watched by all the Italian wine specialists. Named the best winemaker of Piemonte in 2003, he now has an important following in Italy where most of his wines are sold. In 2002, Marco had a difficult year because hail destroyed about a third of the grapes early in the winter. Though 2002 was not a very hot year and Arneis had more acidity than normal, it is in difficult years that one sees the talent of the winemaker, and Marco produced a refreshing Arneis. Marco already has two bicchieri for his reds, and we are sure that his Arneis in a good vintage will also obtain two bicchieri.
