What a perfect gift for Mother's Day. The Roman glass shards in this necklace are found on archaeological digs in Israel where the cities of the Roman Empire used to be. A story card comes with the necklace that explains how the layers of color build up over a period of up to 2000 years. This necklace is made in a small, multi-ethnic studio in the north of Israel, between Haifa and Nazareth. Israelis, Russian emigres, and Bedouin women have continued to work together through the strife around them.
