Most wines are raised for 12 months in French Oak. This Picardy Merlot/Cabernet is a blend of 40-percent Merlot, 30-percent Cabernet Franc, and 30-percent Cabernet Sauvignon. It tastes much like a Pomerol--fruity but elegant with an excellent structure. It has a delicious finish on sweet berry fruit. It can age 4 to 6 years and is ideal with red meats or cheeses.
