About Small Singing Bowl (Nepal): [Buy this product now]
 This little brass bowl really does sing when you rub the 8-inch wooden handle around its rim. Hold the bowl in the palm of your hand, gently rub the wooden handle around the outside rim, and hear its distinctive voice. Every bowl has a distinctive voice, and singing bowls have a history of curative use. Also known as meditation bowls, their sound vibration aids concentration, and evokes the Kundalini chakra. Created by artisans of Nepal in a mud and sand dye, the melted brass is formed into a bowl shape. Seven recovered scrap metals make up this brass, so that nothing new is taken from the environment during production. Each is finished to a brilliant gloss by a laborious hand polishing process called sand casting. These bowls are made by the Shakya, Bajracharya, and Tamrakar castes, known throughout Nepal for their artisan traditions. Mahaguthi works with nearly one thousand Nepalese artisans, to bring authentic handmade goods to ethical markets. For collecting or meditation, a singing bowl brings a calming Buddhist influence.
