Adorned with beautiful peonies, a symbol for compassion, this lovely handcrafted carpet is wonderful for sitting meditation or as an accent accessory in any room. Made by Tibetan Refugees in Nepal, the creation of each hand-knotted carpet allows artisans to support their community and culture in exile. This carpet features a thick, rich pile with 100 knots per square inch. The beautifully detailed design displays rich shades of red, emerald green, pale gold, blue, and soft cream against an elegant, deep navy background. Cream-white fringe adds well-finished detail. Color banding in the main field of the carpet reveals the hand-dyed yarn. Each carpet is certified by the RUGMARK Foundation, which verifies that only adults participate in the carpet-making process.
